FIAS Frankfurt is inviting to the upcoming Giersch International Conference on ‘The Role of Digital Twins for Life Sciences’, which is taking place Sep 15-17, 2025.

Originally developed in engineering, digital twins are increasingly being explored for complex natural systems.

This conference brings together researchers from theory, simulation, and data science to discuss the potential and limitations of digital twins in the life sciences. Topics include modeling across scales, integrating AI and classical methods, and defining quality criteria for mechanistically interpretable digital twins.

Participants will examine common challenges across domains and contribute to shaping the methodological foundation for digital twin development in biology and medicine.

Participation is free of charge. We also offer traveling scholarships. Deadline is currently June 27, but is likely being extended. Further information can be found via: https://indico.global/event/13923/
