Postdoctoral Research Assistant in the Multiscale Modelling and Spatial Analysis of Metastatic Colorectal Cancer

  • 11 Sep 2025
  • Oxford

This Cancer Research UK funded postdoctoral role, involves developing spatially-resolved mathematical models of metastatic colorectal cancer within the multidisciplinary CRC-STARS spatial biology team.

Working closely with mathematicians, biologists, and clinicians, the researcher will model tumour-stroma-immune interactions during liver metastasis using agent-based and/or continuum frameworks. The goal is to understand metastatic mechanisms and inform combination therapies. The role includes validating models against spatial data generated by the CRC-STARS consortium and leveraging the MuSpAn Python toolbox for multiscale spatial data analysis.
